Terms of service

Effective October 7, 2026

About us and these terms

SyllaPrep is an online service for setting, submitting and marking homework, for tutors, tutoring centers and their students. In this document "we" means SyllaPrep and "you" means a SyllaPrep user.

By creating an account, signing in or using SyllaPrep, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Questions go to [email protected].

The service

SyllaPrep lets tutors and centers create workspaces, manage classes and students, write and assign homework, receive submissions (text, files, voice recordings), mark and return work, and share progress with parents. Some features, such as importing a worksheet from a Word file, use third-party services named in the Privacy policy.

We keep improving the service, so we may add, change or retire a feature. When a change materially reduces something you have paid for, we give notice and the Refund policy applies.

Accounts and roles

Every account belongs to a verified email address, or signs in with Google. Keep your password secret, do not share your account, and tell us straight away if you suspect someone else is using it. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Within a workspace, each person has one of these roles:

  • Owner: manages the workspace, its members and billing, and is responsible for the workspace under these terms.
  • Tutor and assistant: work with the classes and students assigned to them.
  • Student: does and submits assigned work.
  • Parent: sees the progress of the students they are linked to.

Student data and consent

Students and parents are added to SyllaPrep by a workspace, not by us. The workspace owner therefore decides why the data of students and parents in the workspace is processed, and we process that data on the workspace's behalf, as the Privacy policy describes.

Before adding students or parents, the workspace owner confirms that they:

  • Have told them SyllaPrep is used and hold their consent as Decree 13/2023/ND-CP and the Personal Data Protection Law require.
  • For a student who is a child, hold the consent of a parent or guardian, and of the student where the law requires it.
  • Add only what teaching and learning need, and receive, and pass to us when needed, requests from students and parents about their data.

Acceptable use

You must not use SyllaPrep to:

  • Post content that breaks Vietnamese law, infringes others' intellectual property or privacy, or is harassing, violent or sexual.
  • Access accounts, workspaces or systems without permission, probe for vulnerabilities, or overload the service.
  • Send malware or spam, or scrape data with automated tools.
  • Resell or sublicense the service without a written agreement with us.

Your content

Assignments, materials, submissions, files and recordings that workspaces and users upload stay theirs. You allow us to store, back up, display and process that content to run the service for you. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.

Unless the workspace owner turns off "Use content to improve SyllaPrep's AI" in settings, you also allow us to use lesson requests, imported worksheets, the lessons AI writes and the edits tutors make to them to evaluate and improve SyllaPrep's AI. Students' work, answers, recordings and photos are never used for this. When it is turned off, we stop keeping this content and delete what was kept within a day; datasets made before then cannot have it removed.

You confirm you have the right to upload your content. SyllaPrep's software, design, brand and shared library content belong to us or to those who license them to us.

Plans and billing

The Free plan costs nothing and is limited in students and storage as the Pricing page shows. The Center plan is prepaid monthly (30 days) or yearly (365 days), priced by the number of students and the storage you choose. Prices are listed in Vietnamese dong before value added tax (VAT); invoices add VAT at the current rate.

A renewal invoice is created 7 days before the current period ends. If it is unpaid when the period ends, the workspace pauses additions (new students, new assignments, uploads) but can still read and mark work, and students can still do assigned work; 7 days later, the workspace drops to the Free plan's limits. Late renewal never deletes content.

An upgrade mid-period is charged for the days left in the period. A downgrade takes effect from the next period.

Payment policy

We accept bank transfer, including VietQR, to the account shown on the invoice. Each invoice has its own amount and transfer reference; please transfer the exact amount and keep the reference unchanged so it can be matched.

An invoice counts as paid once we confirm the money has arrived. The new period or capacity then takes effect at once. An unpaid upgrade invoice expires after 3 days.

A new workspace needs its first payment before it can add students. If it is still unpaid 7 days after it was created (and no transfer is awaiting confirmation), the workspace is deleted. We charge no transfer fee; any fee your bank charges is yours.

Refund policy

Payments are not refunded, with one exception: when the owner of a workspace on a yearly plan cancels it, we refund the whole months left in the paid period (a month being 30 days), not counting the month in progress. The refund is that number of months times one twelfth of the yearly amount paid.

Monthly plans, and the month in progress of a yearly plan, run to the end of the period and are not refunded. Payments for extra students or storage bought for the current period are not refunded.

To ask for a refund, the owner emails [email protected] from the account's email address with the workspace name and the bank account to pay into. We refund by bank transfer within 15 working days of receiving complete details, and the workspace moves to the Free plan when refunded.

Complaint handling process

You can raise feedback or a complaint about the service, payments or personal data by email at [email protected]. Please include your name, account email, the workspace involved and what happened.

We handle it as follows:

  • We acknowledge the complaint within 2 working days.
  • We review it and answer in writing, with a resolution or our reasons, within 15 working days of receiving complete details.
  • If you disagree with the outcome, we keep negotiating; if that fails, you may take the matter to the competent state authority, a mediation body or a court under consumer protection law.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. An owner can archive or delete content in the workspace, and ask for an account to be deleted at [email protected].

We may suspend or end access for an account or workspace that seriously breaches these terms or the law, after notice and a reasonable time to fix it, unless we must act at once to prevent harm. If we end the service through no fault of yours, we refund the unused part of the period.

Limitation of liability

We work to keep the service stable and secure and back data up regularly, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted or free of errors. We are not responsible for content users upload, or for indirect losses such as lost profits.

As far as the law allows, our total liability to a workspace is capped at what that workspace paid us in the 12 months before the event. The cap does not apply to consumer rights the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes to these terms

When we materially change these terms or the Privacy policy, we tell you by email or in the app at least 15 days before the change takes effect and update the effective date at the top of the page. If you keep using the service after that date, you accept the new text; if you do not, you can cancel under the Refund policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Vietnamese law. Disputes are settled first by negotiation; failing that, they go to the competent People's Court, unless consumer protection law lets you choose another venue.

If one term is found invalid, the rest stay in force. The Vietnamese version prevails over any translation.
